HOW DOES DEEP TISSUE LASER THERAPY WORK?

The cell and tissue respond to the absorbed light energy a term known as photobiomodulation.

Photobiomodulation reduces inflammation, reduces pain and increases microcirculation. Photobiomodulation increases tissue oxygenation and nutrition, it increases rate of tissue regeneration and cell proliferation thus resulting in faster recovery from an injury.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Patients feel a soothing warmth as laser energy gently penetrates tissue and boosts your body’s own regeneration powers to relieve your pain.  Treatments are painless and fast (5 to 10 min).

Results can be immediate but the most observed and long-term results are after 4 to 6 treatment sessions.  The body continues to benefit from the effects of the therapy for 18-24 hours after treatment. All treatments are cumulative, so they build upon one another for long-term results.  During this time, modulated cellular activity leads to decreased pain and inflammation.
